Purposeful FIRE LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates purposefulfire.com. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the site, how it is used, and your choices. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.

Calculator Data

All calculators on Purposeful FIRE run entirely in your browser (client-side). The financial and questionnaire data you enter, including income, expenses, savings, and questionnaire answers, is never sent to or stored on our servers. When you generate a PDF report, it is created locally in your browser and downloaded directly to your device. We do not have access to any figures you enter into a calculator.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

Purposeful FIRE uses Google AdSense to display advertising. Google AdSense and its advertising partners use cookies, web beacons, device identifiers, and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your visits to this site and other websites in order to serve you ads that may be relevant to your interests.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads on our site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on prior visits to our site and other sites on the internet.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to understand overall site traffic: which pages are visited, how users navigate, and general audience information. It is not linked to the financial figures or questionnaire answers you enter into a calculator, which never leave your browser.

Email & Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter through the Kit (formerly ConvertKit) sign-up form, we collect your email address and any other information you voluntarily provide. This data is stored by Kit and used solely to send you content from Purposeful FIRE. We do not sell or share your email address with third parties. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link included in every email.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or store personally identifiable financial information. We do not sell personal data to third parties. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. This site is directed at adults planning for financial independence and early retirement.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
